Geberit Ltd. has announced that its two gas systems Mapress Copper Gas and Mapress Stainless Steel Gas have been awarded Advantica approval.

Part of the Mapress pressfitting product range these systems offer a secure, consistent alternative to conventional pipe connection methods. Saving time and cutting costs, pressing creates a positive and frictional connection through the controlled deformation of the pipe and fitting, without using any hot works.

Suitable for all gas applications, including natural gas and LPG, the Geberit gas fittings are easily identifiable, with pre-installed yellow coloured NBR (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber) seal rings and accompanying yellow markings with relevant information stamped onto the fittings to help identify the fitting to the installer.

The two systems offer pipe sizes ranging from 12 to 108mm and are suitable for all residential, commercial, industrial and specialist building applications.

David Stolton, Supply Systems Product Manager from Geberit Ltd. says: “The continued development and extension of the Geberit Mapress range ensures that demand by specifiers and contractors for this modern solution, continues to be met. As the original and strongest brand in the pressing market Geberit Mapress offers over 40 years experience, allowing everyone to press with confidence.”

The Geberit Mapress range offers a solution for every application, with a choice of materials; stainless steel, unalloyed carbon steel, copper and a copper-nickel-iron alloy, alongside a variety of seal ring grades suitable for standard water supply, heating applications, aggressive fluids, gas, and extremely high temperatures for solar applications.
