PTS has joined forces with Sievert to offer the Sievert PowerJet 2135 gas torch and 2000 Refillable Cylinder, giving installers nationwide the chance to save more than 40 percent every year on the cost of gas for soldering and brazing.

John Byrne, product manager of PTS, commented: “By teaming up with Sievert we are ensuring thousands of installers nationwide are able to save money on gas whilst also doing their bit for the environment. If all installers switched to refillable cylinders, it would reduce the quantity of steel that goes to landfill by as much as 684,000kg per year.”

The Cyclone Burner on the Sievert PowerJet is unique on the market: it is powerful enough to allow soldering and brazing without the need for expensive, hotter MAPP gases, and the Cyclone flame wraps around the pipe, enabling the installer to solder or braze a joint from one position without the need to get the burner head around the the back.

Other burner options include the Standard, ideal for soft soldering and other small soldering and small heating jobs, and the Pin-Point, for very very precise soft solde ultra-precise soft soldering.

Light and ergonomically designed, the Sievert PowerJet 2135 gas torch is easy to clean and maintain without the need for tools. The torch incorporates:
· Automatic piezo ignition
· Lockable trigger for ease of use
· Built-in regulator, enabling the torch to be used upside down
· Three interchangeable burners for soldering and brazing
· Cyclone Burner for ease of soldering and brazing (no need for expensive MAPP gas)

PTS will feature the Sievert PowerJet 2135, complete with Cyclone Burner and 2000 Cylinder, in a boxed kit, within its Tradesaver promotion throughout February and March 2008. Following initial purchase, engineers will then be able to obtain the 2000 Cylinder refills over the counter at any PTS branch.
