Aeon Radiator Heaven to showcase specialist bathroom radiators at KBB
(28/01/2008)
Aeon Radiator Heaven will be exhibiting a number of its specialist bathroom radiators as well as unveiling a number of new designs for kitchen, bathroom and bedroom at KBB from 2 - 5 March 2008. The new designs, crafted from both brushed satin effect and mirror finish hand polished stainless steel, have been designed with maximum energy efficiency and heat output in mind, unlike many contemporary designer radiators.
Coffer takes its name from the decorative sunken panel in a ceiling, which it resembles. Like its namesake, it brings a feeling of added depth to a space with its twin set of four mirror polished stainless steel elements being recessed towards the centre. When hung vertically Coffer can be used as a bathroom towel rail as well as a radiator. Hung horizontally, it appears as a contemporary piece of modern art.
Making its debut is the new Bamboo designer radiator. Taking its design cues from bamboo shoots, the new wall mounted Bamboo has an integral humidifier – a first in the designer radiator sector. Water is simply poured into a stylish brushed stainless steel reservoir, integrated into the overall design, at the base of the radiator. Evaporated water travels from the reservoir up inside the Bamboo’s stainless steel tubes and vents at the top in a chimney effect, creating a healthy and non drying atmosphere. It is also suitable for aromatherapy oils to be added to the water and can improve the air quality and humidity levels in a room.
Reflecting the increased use of natural materials in contemporary bathrooms, the new Marbella design features four 60 cm x 40 cm sections of polished natural stone held in place by three polished stainless steel belts, which can be extended to become towel rails. Six stone types will be available from stock, with Aeon’s design team also offering a bespoke service to source and match natural stone to client specification.
A further five new designs will be launched at KBB 2008. These include Twister, featuring twisted solid stainless steel elements mirror polished on one side and satin effect finished on the other; Honeycomb, a modular radiator design featuring octagonal and hexagonal shaped elements; Barcode, a design which mimics product barcodes; Griffin, a square tube masculine towel rail; and a new version of Aeon Radiator Heaven’s established Speira design, influenced by the symmetry and beauty of a DNA strand.
