Sentinel has launched its new domestic heating system filter which removes magnetic and non-magnetic system debris effectively. Because it requires no energy to operate, it’s environmentally friendly – both in operation, and in that by removing debris from the system, it allows the heating system to operate at optimum efficiency levels, helping to reduce energy usage and as a result, CO2 emissions.

Director of Sales for UK and Ireland, John Lynch says its simplicity is its key attraction: "The new Sentinel System Filter is easy to install, maintenance free and has no moving parts – so there’s nothing to go wrong. Suspended material that is removed from the system collects at the bottom of the unit and this can be drained away simply by opening the valve at the base of the filter. Whilst some of the competitive units you can pick up take out just the magnetic debris – the black magnetite sludge - the Sentinel System Filter removes all that, and the non-magnetic debris too – and eliminates black sludge build up and unlike its main competitors will not block. It has an optimised flow design to eliminate blockages and to ensure that the pressure drop across the unit remains low, providing less strain on the pump."

In addition, the Sentinel unit has been designed to be used with the range of Sentinel chemical cleaning and inhibitor products, with a dosing /bleed point for both the easy addition of chemical water treatment products as required and to bleed the system to remove unwanted air build up in the system.

“Interest in the unit has been high from the moment we began discussing it with system component manufacturers and we’re confident that this will become another Sentinel product that installers across the UK will add to their list of ‘must have’ products, and become familiar with and begin to trust in the same way as they do the X series of chemical treatment products they use day in, day out,” comments John Lynch.
