Salus Controls has further extended its product portfolio with the addition of the BPV100 automatic by-pass valve. Designed to maintain constant selected pressure within the central heating system, the BPV100 offers increased system efficiency, reduced operating noise and eliminates the need for an uncontrolled radiator to act as a by-pass for the heating system.

Thanks to a simple adjustment mechanism, the BPV100 by-pass valve opens automatically only when the system pressure dictates to ensure minimum water flow rates through the boiler and pump – an essential feature in low water content boiler systems. When the thermostatic radiator valves are opened and calling for heat, the BPV100 valve remains closed to allow the full output of the boiler and pump to circulate through the system. As sections of the heating system close down, the valve then opens to allow water to flow through the by-pass.

Featuring an angled valve design and comprising of an inlet and an outlet with union nuts in 22mm, the BPV100 is easy to install and easy to set.

Salus’ Managing Director, Dean Jepson, comments: “The BPV100 provides an ideal heating control solution as the majority of boiler manufacturers now demand that the circulation of water through the boiler heat exchanger should not fall below a certain limit, regardless of system load. As well as raising energy efficiency, this model also provides a safe flow path around the boiler.”

Salus’ complete product line-up includes programmers, programmable digital thermostats, standard digital electronic thermostats, electronic room thermostats and a frost thermostat. A cylinder thermostat, wiring centre and motorised valves are also available.

All Salus products are available via the company’s nationwide network of wholesalers and distributors.
