More stringent industry regulations have seen an increased interest in top outlet tanks for storing home heating oil. As well as reducing the risk of spills and leaks, top outlet tanks do not need to be elevated and as such are more aesthetically pleasing as well as being more environmentally friendly. For safer, more environmentally friendly installations, top outlet tanks should be used for completely new systems and for tank replacements wherever possible.

Hytek offers a range of products suitable for use with top outlet tanks, including a number of new additions. These include a suction kit suitable for all top outlet domestic oil tanks. The kits includes a 2150mm long flexible suction pipe, 2” BSPM thread for fitting to the top of the tank, BSPF ⅜” feed and return lines and shut off valve preventing the need to drain the tank for servicing and repairs. An optional gauge with remote readout is also available.

Hytek’s compact GOK oil anti-syphon device fits in the pipeline and prevents the oil syphoning should a leak occur. It has ⅜” BSPF threads and is adjustable so suits tanks ranging in height from 0.1m-3m. It is approved to EN 12514-2 and has a flow rate of up to 200L/hr.

For use on gravity feed systems, Hytek’s GOK pressure reducing valve fits in the pipeline from oil tank to oven/cooker/stove. There is the option of ⅜” BSPF threads or 10mm compression. The head range is from 2m-30m and this product is approved to EN 12514-2. Flowrate is up to 20L/hr.
