Deva launches vandal resistant Sensor Tap range

Deva has launched a new six-strong range of Sensor Taps. Kind to the environment, the auto-shut off function means that public and domestic water wastage is reduced and with vandal resistant designs there is low risk of flooding.

Installation and maintenance is simple, and whether you choose mains or battery-operated products the warranty is valid for 2 years (parts and labour). While each of the 6 taps in the Sensor Tap range feature different chrome designs, each is built to the same high specification.

All taps are suitable for both cold and premixed water and include battery backup in case of mains power loss. Vandal resistant, the Sensor Taps range also feature a scratch resistant sensor window and inbuilt limescale remover. They include a moisture and water resistant control unit, which contains an intelligent readjusting sensor effective up to 31cm.

Deva’s Steve Rothwell says: “On average, the return on investment for sensor devices is around 30% depending, of course, on the water costs but we’ve calculated a payback period of about 6-12 months to two years. Water efficiency tops the list of cost control priorities - followed by issues of energy usage, vandalism, maintenance and legislative costs. And with increasing consumer concerns towards health and hygiene – coupled with the environment - we’ve created a new brassware range that meets today’s changing legislative needs and those of the consumer.”

The range is also part of Deva’s Earthwise product offering. The Sensor Taps range is suitable for a maximum operational temperature of 45°C and requires 0.5 bar minimum pressure.
