(22/10/2007)
NICEIC approved training centre Gas Certification Company Ltd, based in Blantyre, Scotland, has won the award for the Best Gas Safety Initiative by a training centre at Corgi’s Installerlive Awards. The category was open to local authorities, training centres, merchants and manufacturers who have undertaken initiatives to promote gas safety. The Initiative awards are judged by an independent industry panel.
The company won the award thanks to its Gas Safety Awareness courses, the industry partnerships it has formed and its work in securing funding from Scottish Enterprise for grant assistance to help candidates with their training.
“To say that we are delighted with this prestigious award would be an understatement,” comments George Loudon, Managing Director. “It would be remiss of me not to thank all these without whom we would not be as successful as we are, especially the NIC Certification team at Chesterfield with whom we have had a great relationship with for many years.”
A division of NICEIC Group, NIC Certification offers assessment and certification in building services including Gas (ACS Certification) under the Gas Safety Regulations as well as Oil, Electrical, Water and Energy Efficiency, in line with the Building Regulations. Working in co-operation with 100 Approved Assessment Centres, NIC Certification covers the whole of the UK as well as operating its own Assessment Centres in Chesterfield and Luton.
