Graham opens Coventry branch
(10/09/2007)
Graham, the plumbing and bathroom merchant, has just opened its first 4,200 square foot ‘sustainable’ branch, situated on Coventry Business Park.
A new ‘self service’ layout has been designed for the branch, ensuring clear visibility and access to a comprehensive range of plumbing and heating products. A selection of bathroom products are also available, including bathroom suites and showering solutions. Instead of installing the typical trade counter at the branch, Graham have installed service pods, enabling branch staff to assist customers with their requirements all around the branch before completing the transaction at the nearest customer service pod to complete their transaction.
The new layout and the service pods are not the only innovative steps Graham has taken at the branch. Graham has installed a high efficiency boiler to provide space heating and solar panels to heat the hot water. Heat harvesters are in place to destratify and balance room temperature, reducing energy consumption by as much as 35% - 50% and rainwater harvesters to supply water to the toilets and for general maintenance.
Branch Manager and Coventry local, Luke Donnelly, who heads up the team of knowledgeable staff with over 50 years’ combined experience, says: ‘‘the new layout seems to be proving a big hit with customers. Visitors to the branch have commented that the layout makes the service faster and with the Curzon supplying heating components, spares and advice to Graham customers, this really is a one stop shop for all your plumbing and heating requirements.”
