Pegler Yorkshire launches Belmont radiator valves, remote sensors and accessories
(15/08/2007)
Pegler Yorkshire has launched the new Belmont commercial range of products. This new range includes manual and thermostatic radiator valves, fixed and remote sensors, pre-setting valves and a comprehensive range of accessories.
The Belmont range has been developed in response to revisions to the Building regulations, where Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV) have become part of government plans for energy efficiency. Belmont also delivers a selection of flexible products, designed to meet all the needs of the social housing and commercial sectors.
Products in the social housing sector need to have a long life expectancy, while still being easy to use and competitively priced. Durability is important in the commercial sector, but the level of service and the reliability of the product is more of an issue. The new Belmont range has been developed to be robust and cost effective, while offering significant advances over what is currently available on the market.
Completely designed and manufactured in Doncaster, all Belmont products are put through a comprehensive testing process before being approved for sale.
The Belmont range offers practical advantages for those working in both the commercial and social housing sectors. A ‘no drain solution’, on manual valves allows the O ring seal to be changed with the system still full of water, by using a gland removal tool. Being able to change parts in this way is a real advance when most council's are expected to respond within 24 hours, as part of the Tenants Charter. This development minimises down time while saving both cost and time on site.
Innovations introduced for the first time include a concealed lockshield cap on the manual radiator valve, which requires an Allen key to adjust the flow. This feature prevents any unauthorised tampering, making the system ideal for schools, colleges and hospitals. Offering this as a standard feature and not an optional extra is a first in the industry.
The Belmont TRV benefits from a frost setting where the valve opens automatically at 6°C to prevent the system freezing and a built in tamperproof feature that is key operated. The TRV also employs a ‘lift and lock’ operation, which also prevents accidental adjustment.
“Value and durability are key concerns of both the commercial and social housing sectors, “ explained Pegler group product market manager Geoff Matthews, “so our objective with the Belmont range has been to provide products with additional features and reliability, while remaining competitive on price. ”
Pegler Yorkshire also supplies full helpline support and field service backup ready to offer practical assistance to the customer should this be required. This makes the Belmont solution the first choice for those looking for the benefits of the latest products and service in a cost effective package.
