Pervasic helps Ferroli engineers reduce paperwork
(21/07/2007)
The UK Operation of Ferroli Group has standardised on the Pervasic MobileOne Managed Service Platform for its UK service engineers. The Pervasic solution has been chosen as their preferred method of job allocation and reporting for service engineers, and has now been adopted as the mobilisation platform of choice for Ferroli Ltd.
The Ferroli Group is one of the largest and most successful heating appliance manufacturers in the world with an annual turnover in excess of €600m. Over 500,000 boilers are produced each year from its ten factories across Europe . The Group also offers commercial and industrial boilers, cylinders, air conditioners, underfloor heating and solar systems.
“We were previously using a different system job allocation but wanted the level of service, support and confidence that Pervasic offers,” said Phil Seal, IT Manager for Ferroli Ltd. “We were already familiar with Pervasic’s technology and reputation and felt this would be the best fit for our business.”
Ferroli adopted the Pervasic MobileOne platform which has been customised and tailored to the company’s specific requirements. Mobilising engineers reduces paperwork, provides the ability to close down jobs in real time as they are completed without relying on missing information, waiting for paperwork or having dependencies in the back office.
Pervasic enables real time information, enabling operatives to progress and close down a job when completed, view jobs up to a week in advance, and see how much money they’ve earned in a day. By gaining more autonomy and more flexibility, engineers are able to start their day slightly later but make early evening appointments. They’ve also encountered a higher sense of job satisfaction due to higher levels of customer service levels.
“We send out jobs to our engineers electronically in real time,” added Seal. “We’ve found Pervasic to be efficient, prompt and most importantly extremely easy to use. There’s no doubt wireless applications such as Pervasic’s MobileOne platform are automating the future of the service delivery arena, and we’re delighted to be working with them.”
