Tekion Climate Control appoints its first franchisee
(18/07/2007)
Leeds based Tekion has launched a franchise division – Tekion Climate Control and appointed its first franchisee, Chris Petty from Huddersfield.
Established in 2003 by Kevin Moore, Tekion supplies a range of energy efficient, environmentally friendly ‘A’ rated units (suitable for heating and cooling) and ducted, heat recoverable systems to customers across the UK.
Following 30 years as an electrician, Chris Petty felt he needed a new challenge. He said: “Franchising was a new concept to me, but I could see that I would receive plenty of support. I have worked with Tekion on installations, so I could see the high quality of the products.”
With big plans for the future, Chris is looking forward to developing the business. “The demand for energy efficient air conditioning systems will continue to grow and, coupled with Tekion’s high customer service standards, there is tremendous potential,” he said.
As part of its commitment to provide a high level of customer service, Tekion Climate Control has set up a training school based in Guiseley to provide its franchisees with full training and a back up service.
Joe Cahill, who has been appointed to develop the franchise side of the business, said: “We have recently completed our first contract for Ponden Mills, a Yorkshire-based retailer with over 130 stores throughout the UK. We also have a range of other contracts for domestic and small and large commercial customers in the pipeline. Chris Petty is covering the Wakefield and Huddersfield area and we are now actively looking for more people to become Tekion franchisees.”
