Better Bathrooms opens new central distribution centre and warehouse
(04/05/2007)
Better Bathrooms.com is to open a brand new central distribution centre and warehouse due to deal with customer orders and deliveries. The company will move its offices and warehouse facilities to a business park based in Glazebury, Warrington.
With their main showroom remaining in Wigan, Better Bathrooms’ customers still have the chance to view their potential bathroom suites, taps and showers before purchasing, unlike many of the company’s competitors who are purely online businesses. Customers are also given the opportunity of collecting their bathrooms from the new central distribution centre, saving them money on delivery charges which would otherwise be incurred.
Although with just one showroom at present, the company’s long term goals are to open several showrooms at key locations around the UK, and dominate not only the online bathroom market, but take firm control of the offline market.
The move to larger premises coincides with Better Bathrooms’ latest business developments. Only recently, the company announced it is to become a stockist of Clearwater Freestanding Baths, and has also struck a deal with a specialist Whirlpool Bath manufacturer to offer Whirlpool systems in all their baths.
Colin Stevens, Better Bathrooms Managing Director said, “The move to Glazebury is down to our own unbelievable success. Because of our increase in trade online, we have been working to full capacity at our current premises in Wigan and have been struggling to cope with demand. Our new warehouse and offices will not only improve the operating efficiency of the business, but it is our customers who will see the greatest benefits. We can now turn around deliveries in a much shorter space of time, and because of the increase in storage space, we can buy more items in bulk, reduce our costs and therefore reduce our prices.”
