Sentinel and Heatex implement Warmfront Scheme
(04/04/2007)
Sentinel’s CombiGuard Unit has been specified by Heatex Gas Services Ltd in a scheme that will ensure residents within a 50-mile radius of Stoke-on-Trent can enjoy the benefits of affordable warmth in their homes.
The project is part of the Warmfront Scheme aimed at bringing all properties up to the government’s Decent Homes Standard by the year 2010 and will see heating systems in thousands of privately-owned, low income properties installed or upgraded over the next few years.
Paul Cooper from Stoke-based Heatex, explained: “The Warmfront scheme started in this area in 2000 and we’ve been using a number of Sentinel products to prevent sludge and scale build-up, and corrosion, and to cleanse existing systems for a number of years now. We’ve been more than happy with the quality and ease of use of these products, and have recently introduced Sentinel’s CombigGuard Unit to combat problems caused by limescale – which are common in hard water areas like Stoke and surrounding regions. We have no doubts that the units will be another valuable addition to our heating systems.”
He added: “Using Sentinel’s products will help to prolong the life of the systems and keep them running more efficiently and cost-effectively which will enable residents to stay warm without worrying about high running costs and we are delighted to be involved in a scheme that so many people in our area will benefit from.”
