Potterton has launched the Promax HE Store range of high efficiency floor standing boilers, which have an integrated storage cylinder to offer homeowners a complete domestic heating and hot water solution.

While traditional systems rely on a boiler and separate storage cylinder with two sets of pipework, the Potterton Promax HE Store provides everything required in one neat and complete unit. The Promax HE Store’s compact design also means it can be easily situated in a standard airing cupboard, with no compartment ventilation required, making it the perfect solution for homes where space is at a premium.

The Potterton Promax HE Store is the latest addition to Potterton’s Promax HE range, which includes the Promax Combi HE Plus, the Promax HE Plus, the Promax System HE Plus and the Promax FSB 30HE.

The Promax HE Store is a SEDBUK Band A high efficiency boiler, which uses 19 per cent less fuel to produce the same energy as similar conventional boilers, and also offers ultra low Class 5 NOx emissions. Fully modulating from 6.8kW to 24kW, the boiler is suitable for a range of applications.

Available in three variations in accordance with the litre capacity of the cylinder, the Promax HE Store 90i is suitable for homes with one family bathroom, the Promax HE Store 115i would ideally be used in properties with one main and one en-suite bathroom, while the Promax HE Store 150i should be specified for houses with two or more bathrooms.

As the boiler is positioned on top of the hot water cylinder, the Promax HE Store requires less pipework than a traditional system, thus limiting heat loss from the pipes and improving the energy efficiency of the system. The unique cold water inlet spreader ensures that the cylinder delivers the full volume of stored water without loss of stratification.

Operating a domestic hot water (DHW) priority system, the HE Store allows hot water in the storage cylinder to be heated up to 70 per cent quicker than in a traditional separate boiler and cylinder arrangement. The cylinders offer heat up times of just 18 minutes for the 90i, 22 minutes for the 115i and 30 minutes for the 150i.

Additional features of the Promax HE Store include integral frost protection to prolong the life span of the appliance, a pump exercise program to prevent pump seizure, integrated 3kW immersion heater back up and a range of fluing options for easy siting (including vertical, horizontal twin pipe and concentric). To ensure the boiler is user-friendly, the Potterton Promax HE Store also includes user adjustable controls for the central heating and DHW, LED operating status display and an integral seven-day electronic timer.

Supplied in two sections, which are easily reassembled during installation, installers will find the Promax HE Store quick and simple to fit. A unique roller system and low lift weight also make fitting the new boiler easy.

Andy Dabin, product manager for Potterton, said: “All Potterton boilers are developed and tested at our £2m Product Development Centre in Lancashire, the largest of its kind in the UK. Before reaching the market, all our products undergo rigorous reliability tests to ensure we offer products that installers can rely on.

“In addition to having peace of mind, installers registered to our Bonus Direct Online incentive scheme can earn double points throughout February, March and April when they purchase any Promax HE Store boiler or a Promax FSB 30HE.”

Potterton products are supported by heateam, the largest heating OEM service provider in the UK. With a nationwide network of over 200 field service engineers and a team of highly trained call centre staff, heateam answers any installation queries and provides after sales support. heateam also offers a full range of training courses for Potterton boilers.
