New i+Plus Contemporary Shower from Intatec
(26/02/2007)
The new i+Plus Contemporary Shower from Intatec has an interesting twist that will bring anti-scald technology within the affordable reach of most households, and that’s its price. It’s not just cost that sets i+Plus apart from its competitors though, Inta’s stylists and engineers have worked together to create a valve and a perfectly matched showering kit that looks good, performs well and has the solid anti-scald cartridge technology that features right across the Inta range.
The i+Plus in either its concealed or exposed guises will deliver hot water at a factory set maximum of 43 degrees and cope with inlet pressures between 0.1 bar and 10 bar on un-vented or combi systems, as well as gravity and mains pressures systems too. 15mm inlet connections at 150mm centres make for ease of fitting and a maximum inlet temperature of 85 degrees means that the valve is ideal for everything except solar heated installations.
“Safety is at the forefront of what we do, and being able to bring such an affordable anti-scald product to market at the same time as maintaining our high levels of quality and performance is a great achievement.” commented Cynthia Fisher, Intatec’s Commercial Director.
“We recognised that anti-scald was an almost incidental feature of high performance shower valves, which people will buy with a mind to comfort and convenience. We didn’t want consumers to be faced with a price penalty for safety, so we set about producing a competitively priced anti-scald shower that is economical and convenient to buy as well as easy to fit. We believe that this product will set a new marker within the industry and make a good contribution to getting anti-scald equipment into the nation’s bathrooms."
"Our engineering team have created a shower that performs to TMV2, the UK’s domestic anti-scald safety standard, as well as meeting WRAS requirements. Importantly, the i+Plus delivers a proper showering experience, something that has been traditionally missing from many British bathrooms for far too long.”
Intatec has a technical team who able to advise on every aspect of specification and installation. The company publishes a booklet, ‘Everything you need to know about anti-scald’ aimed at specifiers, merchants and installation engineers which is available free via trade counters and on the Intatec website.
