Honeywell brings installers up to date with techniques and the latest building regulations
(09/02/2007)
Honeywell will run well over 50 of its one-day Installer Training Courses at locations throughout the UK during 2007. The intensive courses combine theory, practical wiring and fault finding exercises, and guidance on sales techniques to help installers boost profits.
They cover all aspects of heating controls installation and energy conservation, including the amendments to Part L of the Building Regulations. Installers receive guidance on the selection and installation of industry-standard S and Y Plans, the alternative C, W and S+ Plans, CM Zone – the new wireless control system which zones a building with radio control of each radiator –and the established low-voltage Smartfit control system.
Courses also include wiring to combi boilers, use of wired and wireless RF programmable room thermostats. Methods are considered for bringing older systems up to modern Building Regulation standards as required in Part L1.
The courses provide continuing support for the Professional Development Programme of the Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering and the Institute of Domestic Heating and Environmental Engineers.
The course costs £30, the price includes a comprehensive training manual and lunch.
