Bathstore opens new European head office in Watford

Bathstore has selected Watford as the site for its new European head office. The grand opening took place earlier this month with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque by Rob Marchbank, CEO Wolseley Europe, Bathstore’s parent company.

The glass fronted office in Clarendon Road marks the start of a massive expansion programme for the company, with 100 store openings planned by the end of 2007. The Watford office will bring together marketing, purchasing and IT teams to ensure that Bathstore can provide a fast, coordinated service to its stores and customers.

“We looked at all our requirements – size, access, location and personnel potential – and Watford ticked all the right boxes”, said Bathstore’s Managing Director Wayne Lysaght-Mason. “We are looking forward to a successful future in Watford, and across the country with our existing and new stores.”

Bathstore sources all its products directly from its factories allowing it to sell at prices 20-30% lower than equivalent competitors’ products. Bathstore is so confident that its prices will be the lowest that it has just introduced a ‘price promise’ guaranteeing that if customers can find a better deal elsewhere for the same product they will beat that price.
