Geberit Duofix frame systems support new washrooms at the Building Centre

Wall-hung toilets, urinals and washbasins supported by Geberit’s Duofix frame systems were chosen by architect Glyn Emrys of A-EM for use in the new washrooms at the Building Centre.

Wall-hung is a rapidly growing trend in commercial washrooms and domestic bathrooms. Lifting the toilet and washbasin off the floor, wall-hung gives the impression of extra space and banishes all those hard to clean nooks and crannies. Elegant lines are easily created and all unsightly pipework is hidden.

Showing the flexibility and compatibility of the Geberit Duofix system a range of frames were used to support Ideal standard sinks, Haro toilets and Armitage Shanks urinals. The WC frames, which incorporate built-in cisterns, were used in conjunction with Geberit’s Bolero dual flush plates.

Geberit Duofix WC frames offers a number of designed-in elements to give superior acoustic performance, while its unique flushing mechanisms can be removed through the flush plate aperture for ease of maintenance. Both water saving dual flush cisterns and high-tech infra-red flushing options are available.

The washrooms are part of the new Vincent Suite, a £500,000 refurbishment of the Lower Ground Floor, which also comprises of seminar rooms, an ‘Information Zone’, the ‘Building Hall of Fame’, cloakroom and catering facilities. Opened in November 2006 these facilities are part of the Building Centres continuing improvements aimed at strengthening its reputation and offering a vital resource to professional specifiers.
