Quiet pipeline solution for library in Ireland provided by Saint Gobain Pam UK
(15/05/2012)
Saint-Gobain PAM UK has provided the National University of Ireland’s library with a complete above and below ground cast iron drainage solution.
Situated in Maynooth, the National University of Ireland was originally founded in 1845 and needed a drainage solution that provided superior strength and durability. Saint-Gobain PAM UK’s Ensign below ground drainage system was specified for these reasons, but above ground Ensign was also supplied and installed within the library because of its sound-deadening qualities, a key feature for a library.
Gary Zumeris of Saint-Gobain PAM UK explained: “The acoustic performance of cast iron is superior to that of plastic, which was originally going to be installed in the library. Our Ensign product was the perfect solution for the National University of Ireland’s library, ensuring noise within the building is greatly reduced.
“Kitemarked to the very latest product standard, our Ensign drainage solution suits most above ground applications for commercial and public buildings. We are delighted the National University of Ireland is so pleased with the results.”
The drainage system was supplied through Drainage Systems Ireland, while Auroch Developments completed the groundwork.
