Wavin explores the benefits of Hep2O flexible push-fit plastic plumbing systems
(02/06/2010)
An initiative from Wavin to provide support for trainee plumbers interested in using flexible push-fit plastic plumbing systems by Hep2O has culminated in a successful speaker slot at the recent 2010 HIP!-EX exhibition.
As the climax to a sustained college workshop programme, which has already seen Wavin present to more than 600 students nationwide during the last six months, the exhibition gave Technical Support Engineer, Steve Harris, the perfect platform to further explore the benefits of Hep2O with the workforce of the future.
During two 30 minute talks held over the course of the exhibition, Steve continued the themes used throughout the college workshops to provide a packed arena with useful product information, as well as hints and tips for the use of Hep2O products in real life situations.
Steve commented: “With Hep2O being the most comprehensive flexible plastic push-fit plumbing range available, we recognised that there was an opportunity for us to provide supplementary support for students already benefiting from the existing curriculum by passing on our extensive expertise on the subject.
“Though product literature may be able to explain how to use a particular product, or describe the advantages of choosing a certain type, we have found that by actively taking time to meet with the trainees we have been able to make that information jump off the page and become even more meaningful and purposeful within their training.
“We are delighted to be have been able to assist with the students’ already thorough and comprehensive learning structure and have found them to be very receptive over the course of both the college workshops and HIP!-EX.”
Hep2O offers flexibility and ease of installation for domestic hot and cold water supply, and is backed by a 50 year guarantee.
Using unique ‘straight coil’ technology, the pipes do not return to their coiled state when uncoiled, and instead remain straight with no loss of flexibility providing a significantly faster, safer and more cost effective installation when compared to rigid plumbing pipe systems, such as copper.
