Blueair Model 503 and 603 air purifiers deliver more clean air with less noise Blueair Model 503 and 603 air purifiers deliver more clean air with less noise - news feed from the Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning News Portal

The new Blueair Model 503 and Model 603 from Blueair AB offer an improved three-state progressive filter design, maximum airflow and minimum noise for a clean, healthy living environment.

The two higher capacity in-room air purifiers designed for room sizes of up to 60 m2 using patented HEPASilent™ technology are now available from Blueair AB of Stockholm Sweden, and its network of over 30 dealers and distributors located throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Unique only to Blueair, the HEPASilent™ filter combines the best in electrostatic and mechanical filtration technology and allows delivery of more clean air with less noise than other air purifiers on the market.

Both units have an improved Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR), now among the two highest in the industry. CADR measures how efficiently the unit removes common air contaminants such as pollen, smoke and dust and is used by many consumers to make comparisons between competing units.

The CADR rating for the Blueair Model 503 is 638 m3 /hr for smoke, pollen and dust and for the Model 603 705 m3 /hr for smoke and pollen and more than 680 m3/hr for dust.
Also new is a filter change indicator now included as standard. The battery operated device has a magnet that conveniently attaches to the frame and warns the user when the filter needs to be changed. Four casters on the bottom of the unit allow easy movement for added versatility. For retail customers, updated and appealing new retail packaging has been designed for maximum customer appeal and easier sell through on the retail floor.

The Models 503 and 603 Air Purifiers improved 3-stage progressive HEPASilent™ filter design optimizes pleats and pleat distances to maximize efficiency and air flow. Like 3 filters in 1, the design uses variable weave fibres to remove larger particles first and then the smaller particles. 99.97 percent of all airborne particles are removed that are 0.1 microns or higher including smoke, dust, pollen, volatile organic compounds, spores, animal hair, dust mites and odours from cooking or pets.

Another feature of the Model 503 and 603 is Surround Air™ in which air is gently diffused through an area six times greater than the average air cleaner. The system achieves peak performance without the annoying drafts by drawing in dirty air from the sides and bottom of the unit and releasing clean fliltered air from the sides and top. This provides an exceptional air exchange rate and provides the user with better indoor air quality, according to Blueair.

Both units are Energy Star™ qualified and meet the strict energy efficiency guidelines set up by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the United States. Energy consumption is from 35 to 120 Watts, depending on the speed setting selected.

The two new units are ideal for people living with allergies, asthma and other respiratory conditions or for anyone wanting cleaner, more breathable air. Besides home use, the new line is also ideal for health, office and commercial uses such as schools, restaurants, kindergartens and many others.

Additional features of the Model 503 and 603 include:
• Near silent operation. No large noisy motors, use of sophisticated materials and precision engineering result in an efficient, whisper silent operation. Noise level at low speed is from 32 to 52 dB (A) on the Model 503 and 32 to 66 d (B) A on the Model 603.
• Exceptional air exchange rate. Six complete air changes per hour.
• Sleek, durable design. Strong yet stylish, Blueair units are made of recyclable galvanised steel (instead of less durable plastic) combined with sound proofing material for a quiet operation.
• Easy to use and clean. Just set the desired speed and let the air purifier run. Filters only need to be replaced twice a year. Just open the lid and change filters, no screws or tools required.
• Zero ozone emission. Continuous operation of the Blueair units actually
reduce indoor ozone level.
• Optional SmokeStop™ Filters. SmokeStop™ filters are well suited for heavier household, office or commercial odours such as cigar or cigarette smoke, areas of second hand smoke or heavier odours such as in kitchen or paint.

Available in white or gray.
