Floorcrete opens new Sheffield depot
(21/09/2006)
Floorcrete has opened its second depot just six months after the business started trading in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. The new depot is based in Stocksbridge Sheffield and is managed by Jim Fulcher.
The business specialises in the installation of high volume flowing floor screeds, for covering over underfloor heating systems, block and beam floors and general screeding applications. Floorcrete's move to open a Sheffield branch has been prompted by increased customer demand.
Working with private and trade customers, Floorcrete can lay a floor screed that can take foot traffic in 24 - 48 hours.
Using the latest technology including laser levelling, its trained teams can supply, convey and install up to 2,000 square metres of screed per day. Screeds can be installed by Floorcrete in properties up to 25 storeys high, making Floorcrete's system the ideal solution for flats and similar dwellings. Floorcrete will undertake any size of project from a domestic underfloor heating system to a complete supermarket or hospital.
Commenting, managing director and founder Ray Allott said: "The demand for solid flooring and underfloor heating is increasing all the time and has created a need for high volume quality screed that can be quickly laid over items like piping. The screed completely surrounds the pipes to provide strength and prevents uneven heat transfer. It also gives a superior flat laser levelled surface in a fifth of the time of conventional systems"
Floorcrete is a subsidiary operation of Chimneycrete Ltd.
