Solid stone baths, basins, vanity tops and shower trays available from Stonell

Stonell has introduced a new range of bathroom furniture by Italian designers Vaselli Marmi. This will be the first time that the collection of solid stone baths, basins, vanity tops and shower trays will be available in the UK under an exclusive agreement between Stonell and Vaselli.

Under the creative leadership of Italian Designer Cinzia Vaselli, the new range was born out of a collaboration between Vaselli Marmi’s Design Workshop and the Italian Architects Studio Padrini. Cinzia Vaselli is based in the Rapolano Terme, a Spa town near Siena, world famous as a rich travertine producing region of Tuscany.

The Spa has been the inspiration for this bathroom collection and many of the items are made from Italian Travertine sourced from the rolling Tuscan hills around Rapolano. Travertine stone was formed over thousands of years by the accumulation of calcium carbonate deposited by hot springs.

Travertine is distinguished by its “honeycomb” structure and has been
favoured since Roman times. Italian Travertine is one of the world’s most striking stones – there is a fabulous choice of colours from rich
cappuccino hues to molten gold to warm brown biscotti and even pale creams and whites.

Whether you choose the smallest basin or the largest bath, each piece is one of a kind due to the natural variation of this ancient material. Made to order and carefully selected from a unique block of natural Italian stone, each piece is carved into your own work of art by skilled Italian craftsmen.
