Environment Minister to speak at the 2008 Bathroom Conference

Environment Minister Phil Woolas will attend and speak at the 2008 Bathroom Conference ‘Sustainable Solutions – Awareness, Engagement & Action’ on 14 October 2008 at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel, Meriden in Warwickshire. The Minister’s responsibilities cover climate change, energy and sustainable development.
Commenting on the news, BMA Chief Executive Yvonne Orgill says: “We’re delighted that Mr Woolas has agreed to address the bathroom industry. It demonstrates that not only is he a supporter of the Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme but that he recognises the efforts of our industry to be more environmentally aware.”
Mr Woolas was most recently the Minister for Local Government at the Department for Communities and Local Government and previously he was Deputy Leader of the House of Commons. Other confirmed speakers include designer Wayne Hemingway MBE and Peter Braithwaite, a director of the environmental consultancy Arup.
More than a quarter of places have already sold.
