Airco to service, repair and install air conditioning systems for a local authority in Lincolnshire
(28/04/2008)
Airco Group has landed a three-year contract worth at least £100,000, with East Lindsey District Council to service, repair and install air conditioning systems at local authority buildings. Securing the new contract allows Airco to move into the Lincolnshire market as part of the company’s commitment to double its workload by 2010.
Paul Louth, Contracts Director at Airco Group, said: “We are delighted to have secured the contract for East Lindsey Council. This gives us a valuable opportunity to expand into a different part of the country. We have the capacity to meet the requirements of East Lindsey District Council, with our first-rate service, quick response times and excellent quality of engineering standard. We were able to offer them a 24-hour call-out service, vital to the smooth running of a local authority.”
A team of highly-skilled engineers from Airco will work closely with East Lindsey District Council, servicing and repairing existing air conditioning systems at a range of local authority buildings from libraries, swimming pools and leisure centres, as well as East Lindsey College. The team will also install completely new air conditioning systems where required.
Airco has also launched a £1m apprenticeship scheme, recently awarded the University of Hull Business School - sponsored Workforce Development Award, after discovering a shortage of engineers trained to the highest standard expected by Airco. Its 26 apprentices attend Grimsby College of Technology for classroom-based learning as well as gaining vital practical experience with Airco.
