Dimplex donates PLX panel heaters for Ashton Vale Club for Young People in Bristol

Dimplex is help social housing maintenance provider Connaught with a special community challenge to refurbish Ashton Vale Club for Young People in Bristol. The club, in the centre of Ashton Vale housing estate, has a membership of more than two hundred 13-19 years olds and had raised money to replace the roof but needed extra help to complete the refurbishment project.
Dimplex products are frequently used by Connaught in social housing properties. Dimplex donated the essential heating requirements of five PLX panel heaters which have been used in the main games room.
Teams of Connaught employees renovated the building over eight months, with support from partners such as Dimplex, as part of the company’s affiliation with Business in the Community and Young Bristol, a voluntary youth organisation.
Young Bristol's club manager Lee Williams comments: “We just want to say a massive ‘thank you’ for all the hard work and commitment shown and of course to Dimplex and the other sponsors without whom it would not have been possible. This is a true community challenge that is having a really positive effect on the community now and for the years to come.”
The ultra slim PLX panel heater range is popular with specifiers and contractors because it is efficient, controllable and space saving. They are often used to heat areas and rooms that only require heating for short periods of the day such as a bedroom, bathroom or kitchen, plus they also offer a cost effective way to extend an existing heating system when a building is being refurbished or extended, such as the Ashton Vale Club project.
All models in the PLX range have a high accuracy adjustable thermostat which responds to very small changes in room temperature and some models have a programmable 24-hour timer.
