Dualstream controls pressure and flow rate at White Horse Inn
(17/04/2008)
The White Horse Inn, based in Overstrand, has just undergone a complete renovation and modernization.
The Inn has eight en-suite bedrooms and although pressure and flow rate was not notably low at the main, ensuring water performance was not compromised on the second and third floor was essential.
Hotel Manager, David Walsgrove said: “We needed a system that could cope with all our rooms but the old ordinary system wasn’t up to speed.” Liam Betts, Service Manager of Gasway and Colin Cage, Sales Representative at PTS Concorde Road, put forward the Dualstream from GAH.
Ideal for properties with more than one bathroom like this, the Dualstream takes all the benefits of an unvented system to another level. Using the patented system, owners can boost hot and cold water flow rates without enduring the high cost of installing commercial equipment.
In the White Horse there are four 500L accumulator vessels which store mains water at incoming pressure. This stored water drives the hot/cold outlets, providing an increase in volume of water that you wouldn’t get from a normal unvented system. When taps are turned on, water in the accumulator vessels enhances the incoming main, which feeds two 500L unvented cylinders and cold supplies to the rest of the property, helping to stabilise pressure, ensuring water on the top floors where poor flow rates could potentially cause problems.
David comments: “We are pleased with the system. It is working well and we have no regrets about putting it in.”
Liam said: “The Dualstream installation went very well. The accumulators are surprisingly easy and fast to fit because there is just one pipe to connect. GAH offered excellent design services and support.” Colin adds: “We have immense confidence in this product.”
