SAFEGAS backs the Expect to See CIPHE campaign
(24/10/2008)
Blane Judd, chief executive of The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE), praised SAFEGAS for its commitment to professionalism at the opening of its new, purpose built call centre and Head Office in Leeds. The centre was opened by local MP Colin Burgon who said that he was pleased to know that an organisation that would be helping consumers to reduce their energy consumption was moving into his constituency.
SAFEGAS, which services over 10,000 Yorkshire households with central heating and hot water breakdown cover, has declared its commitment to maintaining high standards by signing up to the Institute’s ‘Expect to See CIPHE’ campaign. Managing Director, Martin Cooper has agreed to enrol members of staff as CIPHE members to help them with their professional development.
“I’m delighted that yet another organisation has backed our campaign,” said Blane. “By working together we can make a difference and raise standards in the plumbing and heating industry. The more people who register with the Institute the harder it will be for non-professionally qualified people to operate in the marketplace and put the safety and health of the public and the environment at risk."
