Wavin Plastics has introduced a new range of OSMA Flexible Couplings to provide installers with the capability to connect different sized pipe diameters and materials.

Wavin has introduced the new range specifically for non pressure sewerage and drainage applications. The Flexible Couplings are designed with a rubber sleeve, and outer clamps that provide a leak proof seal on any pipe material - rough or smooth.

The range includes:

Standard Couplers for connecting pipes made from similar materials with similar outside diameters. This product features a centre band to provide a shear resistance where pipes are subject to earth loads, unstable ground or trafficking.

Drain Couplers for connecting pipes made from similar materials, with similar outside diameters but where a centre shear band is not required to provide support for earth loads. These can also be used in vertical drainage applications where jointed pipes are not subject to any loading.

Drain Adaptors for connecting pipes made from different materials with different outside diameters. These Couplers are sealed by two stainless steel clamping bands to accommodate the outside diameter of either pipe, and the rubber sleeve is stepped to allow optimal flow.

Note – Not for use with structured wall pipes which have an external rib profile i.e. OSMA UltraRib and TwinWall.
