ECA Heating launches Confeo Premix Combi Boilers for domestic heating applications

ECA Heating, the UK subsidiary of the Turkish manufacturing group Elginkan, is launching a new range of CP (Confeo Premix) Combi Boilers for domestic heating applications. The boilers are available in 24kW and 30kW models.

They offer a number of advanced features including boosted hot water flow rates, a built-in filling loop, intelligent pre-heat and easy installation. Featuring quality components throughout, the CP range are SEDBUK A rated boilers.

The CP’s control panel is user-friendly and informative. It includes a clear blue backlit status display under a transparent cover and provides clear visual indication of central heating and hot water temperatures, as well as indication of boiler status and a fault code display with 26 fault codes. Remote fault finding diagnosis can be carried out and issues such as system pressure drops, one of the biggest call-out issues with combination boilers, can be solved without a site visit.

The control panel also features independent central heating and domestic hot water (DHW) temperature controls. A service mode is included for easy commissioning and self-checking and monitoring software is also included. For ease of installation, it also has a built-in filling loop and a pre-wired mains lead.

Intelligent preheat comfort or economy modes can be selected and in preheat mode, hot water usage is monitored over the last 24 hour period, allowing the boiler to anticipate hot water demand and operate preheat for an hour before the predicted DHW period, allowing faster hot water. This function helps to save more energy than other boilers with a standard preheat function and also helps to overcome the nuisance of boilers periodically operating at night.

Key CP components include a high quality, German manufactured PCB, fan and gas valve as well as a stainless steel Giannoni Isotherm heat exchanger that is renowned for its reliability and efficiency.

There is a large capacity stainless steel plate exchanger for the DHW Boost function that typically demonstrates 24Kw boosted to 26Kw 10.6 L/min @ 35 C and 30Kw boosted to 31Kw 12.7 L/min @35 C. the DHW flow rate is monitored by a turbine that modulates the boiler to match the flow rate.

The Grundfos 15/60 Pump with combined automatic air vent promotes trouble free operation whilst the pump and divertor valve are protected by daily anti-seize and blockage function.

The CP has two stage frost protection and a wide range of flueing options including twin pipe flue options for flexibility of installation. There is also an optional RF programmable room thermostat with a 60 metre transmission range for added convenience.
