Recycled rainwater saves the Co-operative £18,000 per annum(01/10/2008)
Stormsaver has won a contract to supply the Co-operative’s new distribution centre in Newcastle. The order, commissioned by M & E Contractors Clegg Group, sees Stormsaver delivering three systems for the build. The first system features two 45,000 litre tanks; the second system has a 25,000 litre tank and the third system utilises a 20,000 litre tank. The recycled rainwater captured by Stormsaver will be used to flush WCs and urinals, fuel the refrigeration system and vehicle washing equipment, saving the Co-Operative some £18,000 per annum.
