Sentinel Compliance Pack helps installers comply with the new Part L Building Regulations

Sentinel has launched a ‘Compliance Pack’ to help installers comply with the new Part L Building Regulations which came into force in April last year and which specifically require the use of chemical inhibitors for new build heating systems and when a new boiler is fitted to an existing heating system. The Domestic Heating Compliance Guide, published by the Government in support of Part L, explains the requirement: “Central heating systems should be thoroughly cleaned and flushed out before installing a new boiler. Sentinel and Heatex implement Warmfront Scheme(04/04/2007)
Sentinel’s CombiGuard Unit has been specified by Heatex Gas Services Ltd in a scheme that will ensure residents within a 50-mile radius of Stoke-on-Trent can enjoy the benefits of affordable warmth in their homes. The project is part of the Warmfront Scheme aimed at bringing all properties up to the government’s Decent Homes Standard by the year 2010 and will see heating systems in thousands of privately-owned, low income properties installed or upgraded over the next few years.
