Just three months after the Government’s boiler scrappage scheme was introduced, all 125,000 vouchers have been snapped up, causing the scheme to close. The Government gave householders £400 towards upgrading their old G rated boiler, for a new efficient A rated boiler.

The Government has recently announced that it is cutting training budgets for adult learners by 10 to 25 per cent, meaning that colleges may have to axe courses on subjects such as plumbing and building.
