A new survey by Bahco has found that 54% of plumbers blamed inappropriate, poorly designed or uncomfortable tools as the main cause of on-site injuries. Yet, the overarching factor that plumbers consider when purchasing hand tools is not the quality of the tool, but its cost, with 57% stating that this is what they look for prior to purchase. According to a Bahco survey, plumbers are one of the least likely trades to seek medical advice or pain relief due to a work-related injury. The most common injuries experienced by plumbers are arm, hand, wrist or finger pain as well as spinal and back pain.
